Product Safety Recall for Axiom Hand Taps

We have been advised of a product safety recall for Axiom hand taps fitted to LPG automotive cylinders manufactured by APA Manufacturing Pty Ltd. These Axiom hand taps were fitted to APA LPG cylinders between 1 November 2006 and 28 February 2007.

The Axiom Hand tap relating to the recall may have undersized “o” rings fitted to the hand tap spindle. There is a chance of LPG in liquid form leaking from the spindle if the undersize “o” rings have been fitted.

If you have one of these cylinders, we recommend you contact your local AAFRB Registered Business - or contact the LPG Installer who fitted the LPG cylinder - immediately, to arrange for an inspection and / or replacement of the hand tap.
